What Are Misconceptions People Have About Personal Injury Cases?

What Are Some Misconceptions About Working With A Personal Injury Attorney?

Most people know the bad jokes about attorneys and sharks at the bottom of the ocean! That is an unfortunate misconception. Many people think that attorneys only care about money, not about people.

Attorney Robert Fenstersheib can only speak for himself and his firm, but he cares deeply about making a difference in the lives of all his clients. That is one reason he represents plaintiffs, instead of doing defense work or representing the big insurance companies.

Yes, he gets paid to do his job, but the only way he makes money is if YOU make a recovery.

Another misconception is that attorneys don’t return telephone calls. Again, speaking for Attorney Robert Fenstersheib and his firm, his cell phone number is always available to all his clients. He doesn’t stop work at 5 and turn it off. If you need to speak with him, you can call or text him directly. And if you need to see him, call his assistant and she will immediately make an appointment for you.

Attorney Robert Fenstersheib cares about his clients, he cares about their claim. To that end, he is always accessible to them. Remember, at Tell Robert “We are the attorneys who listen!”

What Are Some Misconceptions People Have About The Recovery Process?

Most misconceptions about recovery relate to time and the sequence of events. For example, if your claim mediates and you agree to settle, a specific sequence of events must take place prior to receiving your compensation.

Once the settlement is decided upon, the carrier or their attorney will then need to generate a release and forward this release to our offices. Upon receipt of the release, we will contact you to come in and sign the release. Once the release is executed (signed) a check will be forwarded to our offices.

By law, we must contact all parties who may have a lien against the claim (doctors, health insurance, Medicare/Medicaid, etc.) and resolve those liens before we are allowed to distribute the check.

This process can take several weeks; however, we have an entire settlement department at Fenstersheib Law Group, P.A. whose sole dedication and job is to make those calls, resolve those liens, and complete the above process so that your money is in your hands as quickly as possible.
